Hyperbaric Sessions
Experience the Amazing Benefits of Hyperbaric Sessions
Booking Your Session & Preparation for Dive Day
There are a few steps for clients to complete before their first dive session. It is important to follow the instructions provided by our staff before approval. Hyperbaric Air Therapy is administered within a specially designed air pressure chamber, offering benefits for conditions such as poor circulation, headaches, and overall well-being. Here's a breakdown of our process:
1. Session Reservation: Begin by scheduling your Hyperbaric Air Therapy session online through our website. Click the "Book Now" button to access the booking page. Choose from the available seats among the 12 slots per session. Various time slots, including Morning, Midday, and Evening dives, are provided. During the booking, you'll be required to complete the necessary paperwork.
2. Preparation for Dive Day On the day of your session, make sure to arrive punctually. Once the chamber door is closed and pressurization begins, it can't be reopened. If you're late, your session will need to be rescheduled. If you're running a bit behind, feel free to send a courtesy text, and we'll accommodate as much as possible.
PERSONAL ITEM STORAGE & CHAMBER ENTRY
3. Belongings and Attire We provide personal lockers for each diver, or you can use the communal seating area to store non-essential items that won't accompany you into the chamber. Attire should be comfortable Athleisure Wear, and socks are required (no shoes inside the chamber).
4. Chamber Entry and Pressurization Once inside the chamber, locate your seat. As the chamber door closes, the pressurization process starts. The sensation is akin to descending in an airplane. Our dive captain will prioritize equalizing your ears, pausing the descent as needed for ear adjustment. Unlike airplane pilots, the dive captain can pause the descent for ear comfort.
DESCENT INTERACTION & ASCENDING
5. Descent and Interaction The chamber takes 5-10 minutes to reach the "bottom" while pausing intermittently to ensure everyone's comfort and ear status. Conversations flow among participants, fostering a warm atmosphere. It's advisable to have a pen and notepad to capture shared information. The session lasts around 75 minutes, with approximately 30 minutes spent at depth.
6. Ascent and Safety Stop During the ascent, the chamber cools and becomes foggy as it decompresses. We conduct a 15-minute "safety stop" at a depth of 10 feet to off-gas nitrogen absorbed during the dive. Although not mandatory per Navy Dive Tables, this cautious approach provides additional compressed air therapy at a depth that benefits the brain the most.
